I have a 1966 Fiberform with a 165Hp L6 and MR outdrive. The shift/throttle lever is an old MercControl. It is pretty worn and the neutral safety switch is toast (PO did some funky wiring) There is no trim control on the control itself. It is actually mounted on the dash. I assume it is only to lift the outdrive and not to be used as trim while underway. The lift switch is key operated, meaning you have to remove the key from the ignition and use it for the lift, insert the key and turn, then use the rocker switch to raise/lower the outdrive. I have never seen this kind of set up before. No doubt it is an older system.
I am wanting to replace the control. The throttle and shift cables seem to be in good condition, free and not binding.
Any suggestions on a replacement control?
