I'm looking at buying a 1960's motor is this controller from that vintage or earlier?

Is this a Decent Control ??

All I can tell you is that it looks very similar to mine which is either a 68 or 69 running a same year 500 50hp.

At least I gave you a bump!

It looks nothing lie the ones that I have for my 64 and 68 65 HP motors. Both of mine are white and red with Mercontol on the side. The one for my 73 115 hp looks like the ones for my 60's motors but is black and blue not white.

Some had dual control cables and some had only one control cable. What does your motor need?

That controller will work on most 1960's vintage motors, that have two external contol cables, and the port side cable mounts. I have that one on my 1961 800. You need the control cables with barrels on both ends. Its a bit tricky to set up, if you have never done it before.
