I have a 17ft Rinkerbuilt trihull boat that originally had a mercruiser 120/140 engine. When I bought the boat the engine was missing and the guy said that he had an engine that would fit it,the engine he gave me is an early 80's chevy 4 cylinder engine out of a car and I also have the original water/exhaust/intake manifold that i guess was on the mercruiser and it does seem to fit the 4 cylinder head. I'm trying to figure out what size gm car engine will fit my boat and will it bolt up the same as the original engine did? will everything else hook up as well? I also need an engine coupler for this car engine will one from a 120/140 fit this engine? bellhousing as well? any help would be greatly appreciated.
