I recently had to re-make the front engine mount on my Mercruiser 140. Upon removing the rotton wood I could see that there was a particular way the wood was designed for placement. I wasn't patient enough to be able to re-create the same arranegment of wood so now there is some vibration at certain RPM ranges. It's tolerable but come winter I will be re-doing the entire deck and I was curious if anyone knows how to make an engine mount for this application that won't transmit vibrations from the engine?

There is a rubber bush at the top of the mounting bracket that should be insulating the boat from this type of vibration. Did you check/adjust the engine alignment when you had finished the re-construction? If not, then that could also be a source of vibration. (Not to mention some pretty expensive damage. Yep,
I Agree with Chris..........
Your Impatients is going to Cost you Big Time.........

Engine Alignment is Measured in Thousandths of an Inch......................
By Your Discreption, I'm Guessing you're not within a Half an Inch....................

The Vibration you're feeling is your Driveline Self-Distructing................
