I'm in the process of nursing these 165's back to health. I have replaced the manifolds and risers, cleaned the carbs and finally got the stbd motor running without leaking water. The lack of water allowed me to notice a very large fuel leak. I was planning to replace the fuel lines and all components back to the tank anyway. My question is this: someone replaced the hard fuel line from the pump to the carburetor with a hose. It looks sloppy and dangerously unsupported that way to me. I am inclined to cut and flare a new piece of tubing but Im not sure where to start with figuring out the right hardware and flare types. I have flared brake lines before. I'm assuming that it would use a double flare and some sort of NPT thread?
Its a rochester 2 jet and a mechanical fuel pump.
