mercruiser 170 gearbox repair

we have a mercruiser with a 470 engine and a 170 outdrive but when we tilt engine up to travel it leaks oil I know from experience this means it needs a new seal at the gearbox input shaft but have no idea how to drop the gear out to get to the nut in the top of the gearbox to release the front yokes and shaft from the housing to get to that seal in there any help or videos is greatly appreciated we have it down to this part and dont want to damage anything but need to replace the seal

How do you know it is leaking? Is it leaking inside the boat? Is it leaking outside the boat? If outside you need bellows as well.
