I have a customer that is having problems with his exhaust manifolds heating up to above 200 degrees? So went out and ran the boat, both sides of the manifolds are staying close to the same temp (within 20degrees). I have gone through checked the thermostat, pulled hoses no clogs in them. The engine seems to be running normal, maybe alittle too hot but not as bad as the manifolds. The customer just put a new drive on for SEI. This drive comes with a water pump installed.. I have not pulled the drive yet or anything to that extent. I did pull the riser, it looks a little rusted but not terrible, from what i can tell the water is getting to the manifold but not able to exit. This makes since due to the fact that the water exits throught the risers from the thermostat houing. Everyone says that you have clogs in the manifold but, it would be odd to have the same clog on both sides, didnt know if the waterpump that came in the drive was the right one for the engine or if anyone has had a similar problem. Please help!!!
