I just got to taking off the old exhaust riser due to a crack, but after detaching from the manifold i noticed the gasket that
were in place ; the metal gasket which has no slots for any water circulation, i have attached a picture of the metal gasket, without the regular gaskets which were taken off in little pieces, if you look at the manifold it has slots and so does the riser, the original who had it done at the shop, could they have mistakenly put a metal gasket without the slots for water flow thru? pls take a look at the pics and see if, i should buy the metal with slots(if avail) or leave it, which im very sure will stop water flow thru and possible raise my temp. in the exhaust, pls correct if i am incorrect. thanks.

im having problems loading the other pics for you guys to see, so basically i wanted to know if those 3 slots in the manifold to the riser should be blocked with the metal gasket without the slots or it should have the slots in it.
thanks
