Prop got a little chewed up today out on the lake. Went back to put my spare on and couldn't get the hub out of the old one at all. Had to press it out and when it came out, the drive sleeve was pretty roughed up and shredded. (I'm assuming this is what a spun prop is? Still newer to marine mechanics so please let me know other wise.) I'll obviously need a new sleeve and I wanna make sure I grab the right one. I don't know if my year of engine (1993) is Flo Torq or not, so if someone could point me in the right direction, that'd be great!

It's not really the year anymore but just the design of the prop / hub in general that you have at this time as things could have been changed over the years.....If possible post some photos of what you have to see if maybe we can help suggest something/find new parts, etc. Photo Upload Tutorial

Also if possible, include some info regarding the propeller such as a part number, etc..

The old prop 48-78120-19 has a solid type hub and typically best removed / reinstalled by prop repair shops as they like to have it known as trade secrets.
The first two are what your prop looks like, http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=48+78120+19

Is there a part number on the new prop that would look like 48-78120-19 for example? The new prop looks to possibly use a newer style plastic sleeve but kind of hard to tell in the photo and if so, your old hub will not fit the new prop.

I have a feeling you'll need the hub kit that looks like the one that would fit this design prop for example only, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercury-Mer...ash=item2a0a4208e2:g:1boAAOSw9NdXvZI3&vxp=mtr

Could try doing a search online under Mercruiser prop hub kit. Flo-Torq II could be the name you'll need if so.
