mercruiser 3.0 tilt trim Question

I recently had to replace one of my trim cylinders due to freezing and cracking over winter. So I got the new one on and got all the old milky fluid switched out with new. I was woundering how far your motor is supposed to raise up before you have to "trailer it up".

The trailer position is all the way up for either one.

Measure the exposed length of the shaft at Down, Trim, 'n full Tilt....
