Mercruiser 3.0l distributor unknown distributor cap

Hi , i recently baught my first boat and started to do a routine maintenance it is a mercruiser 3.0l 1994 motor ... when i opened up the distributor cap i am unable to tell what type of insides is in there ... no points and condensor, and it seems to have different system of electronic then the ones sold for 3.0l mercruisers... tried to find on forums but can only find 2 types of distibutor capsither points and co ndensor or the pertronix type . can someone help me out and tell me what this would be ... could i convert this and nust put in the pertronix ? Here is a picture of the insides ... thank you in advance for info

That is the Delco EST ignition and light years better then the cheap Pertronix junk

Oh great thank you for the fast response !!! ... can i just change that rusty part and the rotor or i have to change everyrhing on their ? Also can i spray some wd40 to slow doen disentagration???

Unless your having trouble, just clean it up and keep going. Its rusting only from the moisture build up under the cap. Yes WD is fine in there, and should not cause an issue.
