I've read a number of opinions and wanted to see if anyone else had their 2 cts to throw in the ring before I toss my money down on a new prop.

Boat is a 19' Bayliner 'Classic'. 2005 3.0L with 2.0 drive ratio. Lake elevation 2000 ft. Stock prop 3 blade 14 X 21

I'm looking mostly for performance pulling water toys and getting water skiers out of the hole with some general cruise-about use. Top speed mid 30's is fine.

Most advice I've seen recommends a 4 blade 20" or a 3 Blade 19" with one opinion out there for a 3 blade 18" as a watertoy puller.

So, 3 or 4? Is going stainless worth the extra money for this application ? Any brand advice (good or bad) is appreciated too.

I have a maxum 2000 sc 3.0 powered which is pretty close to the same boat

What RPM are you getting at WOT

At sea level with a 14 x 19 i get 41 MPH GPS at about 5000 RPM.

I can run a 21 for more speed BUT it really kills the boats holeshot

The 2000 ft alt is loseing you some power so i would say the 21 is to big

If we want to tow we use a 14 x 17. The boat really gets up on plane fast But it limits you speed to around 26 to 28 MPH at 3800 to 4000 RPM which is the fastest i would want to run the motor for a long run

tommays

Just a thought "smart tabs" do a search, you will find volumes of info, all positive good customer support relativley inexpensive and easy to install.

I really wish my restore would get done, after volumes of reading personally i went with a 20p 4 blade stilletto, hoping it would keep my bow up in rough water with little speed loss.

Hmm just a thougth how about a smart tab or trim tab Topic or discussion.......... mods?
