Mercruiser 3.0l Spec Spark Plug Gap

I purchased a pre-owned 1996 Wellcraft Excell 18SX with a Mercruiser 3.0l I/O and without an owner's manual.<br /><br />Can anyone tell me the proper spark plug gap specification I should be setting when I replace the plugs?

.035 with points.<br /><br />.045 with electronic ignition.
