Found the throttle(?) Cable that connects to the ignition safety dial is broken. Can this one section be replaced or does the whole thing have to be replaced.

Engine 3-57k111gs

Seems like it’s tied to the thunderbolt ignition and timing. Can I still remove and if so what do I need to replace with?

Before I start I turn key slightly and the dial tightens. When throttle is increased that cable moves as well.

It looks like a aftermarket “cruise control” system. Google—- perfect pass —— for more info.
Never seen one that changes the timing.
