Hi

My Engine runs at 900-1000 rpm idle.
Is it a big deal to adjust this.
The Cable runs smooth and don`t cause the problme..:)
Would like it to run om 600 rpm.

One more thing.
My kill switch onley cuts the when i`m going from fwd/back to neutral..?
Is this ok?

PS I`m from Norway( Could be some bad spelling)..:):)

Re: Mercruiser 4,3 EFI

The stalling may be from a bad lower shift cable, too high an idle or too low an idle. Set it for 750 in fwd gear, in the water. To check the cable with the engine off, remove it from the attachment point and it should move freely by hand, heavy resistance is a sign that it`s bad.The manuals are available in the adults section above.

Re: Mercruiser 4,3 EFI

If it's really a EFI engine, Then it should run at 600 rpm on it's own while warm as long as everything was in normal working order.

If your engine is really at 900-1000 rpm then you have something really wrong with the engine.
