was the engine winterized??
no, but i did drain the motor before winter
no, but i did drain the motor before winter
i cant get a camera up in there to take a picture, it is leaking right above the drain plug, it is in driveway with ears on itokay, is water leaking from the engine near the engine drain plug?? while it is running??
or is it leaking from the transom assy area near the hull drain plug while in the water??
can you post a pic of the leak??
it is leaking right above the drain plug, it is in driveway with ears on it
leaking above the engine drain plug while running??
if so - cracked block or pushed out casting plug, cause = not winterized
use a mirror and flashlite to investigate the source of the leak
when you drianed the block did you poke a wire in the drain hole to clear debris??
im guessing the pic is upside down, if so it looks like the casting plug behing the motor mount popped out
you'll need to remove the mount to replace the plug, then run the engine to temp for 10 mins, let the motor cool/heat soak and run again and check for water in the oil
Is it a metal cap looking plug?
