no, but i did drain the motor before winter

okay, is water leaking from the engine near the engine drain plug?? while it is running??

or is it leaking from the transom assy area near the hull drain plug while in the water??

can you post a pic of the leak??

leaking above the engine drain plug while running??

if so - cracked block or pushed out casting plug, cause = not winterized

use a mirror and flashlite to investigate the source of the leak

when you drianed the block did you poke a wire in the drain hole to clear debris??

im guessing the pic is upside down, if so it looks like the casting plug behing the motor mount popped out

you'll need to remove the mount to replace the plug, then run the engine to temp for 10 mins, let the motor cool/heat soak and run again and check for water in the oil

Going through mine now. Engine on stand.

Here is the port side of the block. The left core plug is the one behind the motor mount. You can see the three threaded bosses the mount attaches too:

Here is the starboard side:

This is a 2004 engine. The small boss, down low between the core plug locations is where the block drains were screwed in. Actually to the rear on the port side.

And . . . I see it was an original post from 2014 . . . . :)
