Hi guys,
My Mercruiser 470 3.7L has a Circulation Pump leak on the second seal so all coolant is dumped into the oil pan. I've currently taken off the oil Pan to clean out the coolant/oil mix and am slightly worried about the lack of coolant in my engine during the winter months. Will the engine and manifold be okay without Coolant in the system?
I will obviously drain the heat exchanger (seawater) today, but frost has just set in.

I'd appreciate any advise.
Thanks Si

I'd be more concerned about the coolant/oil mix impacting the engine internals, bearings etc..

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,...... I'm reasonably Sure, that the motor would rather have Dry coolin' passages, than antifreeze soaked main, 'n rod bearin's,......
