Thanks in advance for the help ---

Engine has been tremendous so far, but there is now a slight hesitation when moving from neutral to forward before I feel clutch engage ... Any suggestions on what I may be able to look at before bringing it in for service? Nothing major - just a pain in the butt !!
Thanks,
Chris

Electronic switch assist I believe its called. It momentarily kills motor to allow for the drop in rpm's. This helps in shifting from nuetral to forward or reverse. I think the mere fact that yours is effecting the motor dictates the switch is good. Just needs adjustment. Just a guess

what lube is in it? needs the sythn lube. merc performance gear lube. it is green in color. might be able to look in the resivor on engine if it is in water. other than that have a good merc tech look at it cable might be going bad. be sure motor does not rev before enguageing this could get $$$$$$ly.
