Mercruiser 5.0L won’t start

The engine was running and cutting because of water in the gas.

I have replaced, sparks, spark wires, distributor cap, rotor, idles speed contol motor, gas filter.

I have emptied the entire gas tank and cleaned it. Filled up with fresh gas.

The engine started for 2 seconds to burn the old gas in the line, then stalled.

The starter is crankink but nothing happening???

what to replace next???

i replaced several components such as sparks, spark wires, distributor cap, rotor.

had water in gas and cleaned it all out and filled with new gas and water seperator.

still cuts off at higher rpm.

can it be the inline filtre?

You need to get a scantool or computer diagnostics on and see if any codes are set. If there are no codes, then start looking for other things. Your problem could easily be something like the seawater pressure switch has failed, but without the scan codes, we're guessing...

Ok, now we all know the back story, water in the fuel.... Your problem is 'water in the fuel system'.... You still have water in the fuel system. You need to run a de-watering fluid, like meths or 'dry-fuel' through to get all the water out. Alternatively, pull ALL of the fuel system out and apart, clean and dry it all out and put it back on....
