Welcome Crewkid!!Remove drive from boat and take apart into 2 halves. The lower will have the housing with the impeller inside.remove the housing and see if the impeller comes right off or you may have to chisel it off.If it comes right off ,take the lower plate off and put new plate and gasket and put grease on the shaft before you install new impeller.Make sure you replace the key.Push housing while turning shaft to help impeller enter the housing. It would be best to have a manual on hand while doing this ,it will give you little pointers and tips so it will get done perfectly.Charlie

Save yourself a hernia and just drop the lower gear housing of the drive. No need to remove complete drive to replace pump.
