Hey all,
I'm working on replacing the engine coupler on my Mercruiser 5.7 and had to disconnect some kind of water transfer tube attached to the bellhousing on the back with an oil line going to it. Wondering part of the oil system goes into it so I can be sure to refill as quite a bit came out. Fluid was redish in color. Picture attached.
Also on a side note, glad to report that it IS possible to do the engine coupler without removing the engine completely, I disconnected my engine at the lag bolts and used 4x4's and an engine support with manual winch to move the engine forward 6 inches to gain access =)
