Mercruiser 7.4L service

2001 Mercruiser 7.4L MPI (x2). 400 hours. They run fantastic & I want to keep it that way.

What is the best service manual to get for these engines? Factory mercruiser? Cylmer? Sticky posts from Don?

The sticky posts ARE the factory manuals.
If you order a paper manual from Mercruiser, it will be exactly the same.

Do you value the factory manual more than an aftermarket one?

Example:
Take 10,000 pages of Mercruiser OEM service manuals and condense them into a 400 page manual.
What are the chances that something important will be left out or something could be interpreted wrong or missprinted. Don't forget, you have to put a lot of years into a single manual, along with the engine and outdrives. And do it cheaply.
