lucky me, Mercruiser guardian system drops engine rpm's to max of 1000
impeller is brand new, no leaks at all.
my main concern is the thermostat or cooler
please let me know what you guy's think plus i dont know where is the thermostat on my Mercruiser 496 MAG so i didn't inspect it.
thank you all for replying!

What is the serial number of your engine, can't look up any information by year.

Have you checked that the risers are clear? They are coming up on 5 years old and could have scale built up in the water jackets where the water exits into the exhaust stream. Buildup there will restrict the flow out and cause elevated temps on higher loads.

There are so many things that will cause a temp rise.
