Based on a previous thread (http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=557939) about trim tabs, and since I have power steering on my boat, I am switching out my outdrive trim tab anode for a flat version. The two that I have found indicate they are 1. zinc alloy, for saltwater only, and 2. aluminum, with a sticker on it that says "Highly active - salt and brackish water only". I run my boat strictly in freshwater lakes, so I see no issue with using either one of these flat anodes. Any one see any issues with this? (the aluminum one is cheaper of the two, so I am leaning towards that one.)
Also, the flat plate anodes are through-hole drilled, so I will need to use a nut with it. Stainless? (I assume).
Thanks!
