does anyone know anything about the SEI mercruiser alpha one replacements being sold on EBAY for $1,195.00 (ebay item #270132548170)? They are brand new replacements (not OEM) outdrives made in the USA.

There are some people here who have them, but not me personally.....
The feedback I have seen has been nearly 100% positive.....
It does seem that their paint does not hold up as well as Merc., but for 1/2 price of a new OEM, or roughly the cost of a rebuilt, (if you are lucky), it seems the way to go.....
I will when I need a new drive......:)

A guy up at the lake I go has one on his Baja with a 350 and he has not had any problems with it. Like said above the finish doesnt seem to be real durable but paints cheap. I just bought some of the trim cyl. from them and they went right on and got both cyl. and the stainless lines cheaper than I could get one merc. cyl.
