I am having trouble getting on plane and have a set of 26 pitch stainless steel props. I am looking for a set of 24 pitch props to possible trade for.

Re: Mercruiser Bravo 3 props

If it's a new boat contact dealer/factory to get it corrected soon. They will ask for your wide open rpm reading. Tell them it's brand new and can't run wide open, just can't get on plane. I had the same thing with a new Monterey 256. Dealer wasn't much interested in helping so I called the factory and they sent the dealer a set of 24 with instructions for the swap. Fixed it right up.
john

Re: Mercruiser Bravo 3 props

Thanks, but it's a 1998 model that I bought second hand this year. Ran fine with just two of us in it.

I was hoping to find someone with a large engine that was looking for more top end speed thay may have a 24 pitch set of props to trade for. Probably wishful thinking, but I figure it's worth a try.

There were several on ebay when I looked last week--- you can use the "ask the seller a question" buttons to ask the people selling if they want to swap.

you need to clock those props on a B3 (one blade goes up, whhile the exact oposite blade goes down)
