I have an older model (65-66) side mount control for my mercruiser 4cyl I/O. It needs either rebuilding or replacing. As you push the main control foward, the throttle lever comes up at the same time. This makes it very difficult to drive the boat. It's also very stiff.
It has new cables and the boat mechanic said it was was very worn and should be replaced.
Ideas?
