I am trying to get a mercruiser engine serial number for a big block motor which I think is a 7.4 / 454. The mercruiser serial number is not in the listed places per the Service Manual by the starter or on the valve cover but I have the following casting number from the front of the block T0404TSD and another casting number off the block under the head on the starter side of the engine C7B150408 on the rear of the block next to the bell housing is casting numbers T14, 361959P and GT 8 77. Can any one help me with an engine ID? Could this be an automotive block or a reman?
