mercruiser exhaust Y pipe help .

I need some info from anybody that had any experience with exhaust Y pipe, for a 87 Mercruiser 260 5.7 sterndrive
my Y pipe its corroded on the lug holes, my part number calls for 44265-C . I found one in very good condition from ebay but his part is 44265-C1 would there be any difference or will it fit mine?
Help please!
What i have found is that -44265-C1 is for a 6 cylinder and 44265-C is for 8 cylinder?

6 cylinder and 8 cylinder engines use the same exhaust pipe. Those numbers you're quoting are the casting numbers, not the part numbers.

The correct part number for your pipe is -44266T1, which supersedes to -807130A4. It's likely that the one he's offering is the later one. Find out what sort of shutters are in it. You should have the single piece shutter on a shaft. The later ones have the new style shutter, 2 sections either side of a hinge arrangement.

That's the old style pipe, should be a direct replacement for yours. And you got the right shutter kit for it....
