Mercruiser extended warranty

Just bought a new boat and wondering whether the extended warranty is worth it. Anyone have any opinion? How much should I expect to pay.<br /><br />Also anyone ever heard of a site called outdrives.com - is it a reputable site to buy from?

outdrives.com has a lot of really good info and I know they have been around for a while. I think they are an authorized merc dealer. Just based on my experience I wouldn't be afraid to deal with them. then again, I always use a credit card just in case.<br /><br />I'd say the warranty really depends on what's being covered and what's not IMHO. Also how and where the boat is going to be used. Saltwater cruising in the NE with most things covered for a fraction of the boat cost, yeah I do it.
