I am totally new to this and took my used 1993 Bayliner Capri 1700 out for a drive with the family. I used the super tech oil and mixed 13 oz of oil to 5 gallons of gas. If im correct it is 2.6 oz to 1 gallon. I noticed allot of smoke though. I also experienced after about 10 minutes the engine had bogged and died but would start right back up. This happened to me twice. I probably should have emptied out the contents before refilling. Think I had about 1/4 gallon of old fuel in there. Please let me know what oil is best for non smoke and also if I mixed the right ratio. Thanks.

Also it should be 16 ounces of oil per every 6 gallons...

The two strokes I have worked with that bog out of the blue....spark plugs. Put in a fresh set, probably cure it. Mixed fuel generally keeps a long time. (2 years for my weed wacker, snow blower and dirt bikes)
