I have just purchased an old (1957)Mitchell Cabin cruiser with an old Merc outdrive. I don't know how to get the serial# in order to know the year of manufacture. I have looked at Mercury Marine's web site but still can't find my model. Is there anywhere I can go to look for this info?<br />My problem is the shock absorber in the lower unit is broken and I don't know how to remove the bolt that holds it to the housing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks------Ken
