I really wish that your post made sense. I can't understand...

Either way, the engine and all the sensors are the same, Q.E.D. the ECM will work. 2003 on a 2007, or a 2007 on a 2003. Whatever you have, can get.

As far as I know...if it’s a MPI it should be the same. Not sure what you mean by a 2007 5.0 alpha one. The outdrive isn’t really to be compared I’d think.

The outdrive is purely just for the shift interrupt just wanted to be sure it would work and run the engine just with the newer calibration my current is in for repair with no luck and the repairs in the states are too much cheaper than the new unit after postage ect plus this way hopefully I can send it off when I have more money and have a back up

Just realised what you meant by not understanding it

I have a 5.0 mpi with a alpha drive year is 2003 I do not have a serial number I need a new ecm and was wondering about the different calibrations
I have found a 5.0 alpha mpi with the year 2007 stamped as calibration wanted to know what the different calibrations over the years as for what the updates did ect

Look on the back of the ECM and see if part numbers are the same. If not the same, post the part numbers

I don’t have any part number only the Motorola sticker other one has been worn off probably by the person that sold it to me as a 350 mag before I found the casting numbers last year

I do not believe that the 350 Mag was ever in front of an alpha (although I could be wrong)

As with you then I don't know what you have. Might be able to have Bob at OBD Diagnostis be able to give you some advise. Suggest calling him and see what he says

Plug it into an engine, put the Rinda software on it and download the ECM data file. That tells you what it is, including the calibration file installed.
