mercruiser outdrive removal

I took out the 4 bolts holding the lower part of the unit on. Is there something else I need to do to get it to drop down. I didn't want to force it without knowing.

Don't forget to put it in fwd before you yank too hard. Also, you have to disconnect the trim cylinders.

have you looked under the trim tab? remove the trim tab an you will find 2 more bolts (i think)

Six nuts/bolts total. One under the trim anode and one on the front of the drive and two on each side.

I found the one at the back of the drive, but there looks like there is one under the little thing that comes down in front of the prop. How do you get to that one????

Your talking about the trim anode. Remove the plug if its still there and with a allen wrench remove anode. Bolt is under it....Look here a picture is worth a thousand words....<br /><br /> Drive

Don't forget to disconnect the speedo tube.
