Mercruiser 255....

Could be either A/

Ford 351W used 1973/4 (both I/O and I/B)

or B/

GM 350 used as an inboard (only) 1975-1980...

Does that help? (Probably not )

Ayuh,... Are ya lookin' to replace the log manifolds, 'n use the rest of the exhaust plumbin',..??..
Or,...
Are ya lookin' to move to Center-risers, 'n eliminate a pile of piping,..??

Re: Mercruiser parts needed

well i'm not familiar with these engines at all so I was looking just to replace the long manifolds, but if there is an easier (hopefully less expensive way) I'm open to hearing about it certainly.

Ayuh,... Those are not direct replacements, but, you could cut down on a mile of exhaust piping by switching styles, 'n coming straight back, 'n out...
Rather than piping gases foreward, then under, 'n then back, 'n out...

The page I linked ain't the exact unit ya needs, but a picture of what's available....

I'm also not saying it'll be cheaper, just newer, up-dated, 'n Better...

Re: Mercruiser parts needed

And you'll lose another mile of water hose... Change to the new style thermostat housing and you'll have a water hose coming from each side of the new housing to the bottom of the manifold, and that's it!!!
