I recently aquired a 76 Arrowglass with a 165 Mrecruiser inboard/outboard. The first time on the water I could not get the trim to go down. I could hear the pump engauging but it was as if there was something plugged up and blocking the pump from pushing fluid. I loosened both lines from the bottom of the pump and run in both directions bleeding some fluid out. Since then the trim has worked. I'm afraid of this happening again while in the water. Any ideas what could have done this? Possibly a losced reverse lockout valve?
