Mercruiser Sea Core 496 Mag

I am currently viewing a 2009 Sea Ray 270 Sundancer with the Sea Core 496 375 HP. engine. I do not believe this engine is currently produced. Was there a problem with this engine? Is this single engine adequate for this size boat?

Not a problem with them, GM just stopped producing them.

Yes they are fine for a 27' boat. Most 27's and 28's with single engine today use the 5.7 or 6.2.
