Have a 1987 inboard ,5.0 and I am looking for the MFG or part number of impeller or pump itself . This is NOT a I/O Manual shows a picture of outside of pump but nothing else as far as mfg or impeller info.
The video shows a impeller housing that looks a bit different than mine. Its a start for me anyway. Probably take the unit off this weekend and see what I can come up with. It's in a totally PITA location in relation to access hatch and everything else you can think of.
The5.7 Bluewater inboards in a wellcraft 28 coastal use the same pump.
Remove the belt, adjusting bracket, then the 2 hoses remembering what was where, then the 2 bracket nuts, 9/16 and remove the pump.R/R the housing and impeller
Housing is different . Can't download picture , if you PM me your cell number I can shoot you a picture from my cell . I understand if you don not want to. Thanks for your replies !
It's round shaped with a U indentation on each side. The through bolts are more like the long bolts on a starter motor housing, there is no protrusion where they go through.
No it not a crank mount ,have that on my other boat. Belt driven ,close to your first picture but pump is barrel /smooth round shaped with a small U indentation opposite each other. Housing is thick enough that bolts go through it without any protrusions where the bolts are. Or there is a end cap and it has short bolts that screw into the housing.
unless somebody got creative I looked up all the 5.0 inboards and all use the pump in post 8 Bravo type locate a pic posting service, there free and post a pic
The picture in the manual ,which is what I was going by is different than what they installed as I discovered today. Bloody hands will testify that it is a Sierra 18 3150 ,same one as your first picture . Of course the impeller was good ,but I ordered one up to install and keep the old one for emergency.. Thanks !
