And so on to the next job,
the sterndrive has the upgraded brass bushing already fitted to the bell I am unable to see from my manual as to whether i have to replace the entire bushing complete with the seals or if I can just replace the seals?thanks

If you can locate just the seals go for it.Do NOT pull the shift shaft out when removing the bushing the clutch dog is under spring pressureand will move out of place if you do.Pressure test it when finished

This is the service bulletin for the replacement seal and bushing assembly. I have never seen a number for the seals separately...
