1988 Mercruiser 350 Mag Alpha 1.
No start. Fully charged battery, no click. Voltmeter shows slight draw when ignition switch placed in start position. Was able to start and run engine by jumping solenoid S and positive battery cable, which indicates solenoid checks out OK and kill switch is OK (would not have run if defective, right). So I suppose the next things to check are the ignition switch itself and neutral safety switch? With ignition switch in start position, I moved the remote into and out of forward and reverse gears and could watch the load change through the voltmeter, so I think the neutral safety switch is OK.
Any suggestions where I go from here?
