Mercruiser sterndrive shaft

Lost my propeller in the water. Have another propeller but not sure what else I need exactly. According to this diagram below I need a lot of washers and collars. whats that object still on the shaft? that needs to come off. #`s 84,85,86,87,88

The object still on the shaft appears to be a spacer. No bearings.

Is there a chance that it is an oil seal? If it is how difficult is it to repair? Just slide it on or something more invasive? According to the schematic there is an inner and an outer seal.

Ayuh,.... That does sorta look like an oil seal,...... What's the oil look like,..??

The shaft seems solid. I haven't checked the oil. I will let you know. If it was the seal, there wouldn't be any oil at all int he lower unit right?

There is oil in the lower unit.

Is the object hollow like a seal or solid like a washer? You can see the prop shaft seal is still in place and no oil is dripping out.
