I am working with a friend on the reason the old alpha 1, Gen 1 a 2 outdrives start to slowly sag and potentially drag on the ground, road or ramp. Is it the trim rams losing pressure internally past the inner seals or is it the trim pump itself allowing the the drive to slowly sag. Bad seals, check valve or the like?
My boat doesn't have this issue but my friend has had issues in the past and on his current boat that runs a Mercruiser 170 and alpha 1 gen 1 outdrive.
I also use the red plastic snap on outdrive supports and this friend refuses to use them for whatever reason.
