Should I be able retract I trim cylinder that is removed from the boat with no hydraulic lines attached . I am rebuilding the gimbal housing and installing new stainless hydraulic lines . I have both rams off that were in fine working order 6 months ago . They are extended 3/4 out and there is no pushing them back in by hand . Is that correct ?

Is this a MC-1, A1G2,Bravo maybe a year?
Yes, you should be able to move them with the lines disconnected. Might have to have a look inside

should unless internal of rams are corroded. Rebuild while boat is down. No big deal....
