Mercruiser140 has #s 2&3 dead cylinders

At idle,removed plug wires one at a time, 2 & 3 had no change, When remove 1 & 4 mtor was vibrating. 2 & 3 never made a change. Going now to put # 1 & 4 plugs in 2 & 3 to see if there is a change. If you have any advice please let me know! Thanks & God Bless

WetWilly,<br /><br />The Mercruiser/OMC 140's had a tendancy to pop the head gasket between #2 and # 3. Are the plugs real clean looking?
