mercruiser260 seized....motor swap

I have an 81 mercruiser 260 in a 25ft wellcraft I got this winter. Started messing with it and motor is locked, got to reading on here to find out they are just a 350 block I went and bought a rolling longblock set up out of an 83 chevy pick up that had 4wd started unbolting everything to swap blocks and found out my mercruiser rotates ccw...... what do I do now....did I get the wrong motor

Ayuh,... That's Standard rotation,.... Yer lookin' at the Wrong end of the motor.....

should be a straight swap - change out the tin core plugs for brass ones in the block.

To be a little more clear I found a tag on the valve covers that give the specs on the motor and it said its a ccw rotation. If I go ahead with the swap and it is turning the wrong way do I just get a prop to match the rotation

counter-clockwise or left-handed rotation is standard rotation

rotation is determined by looking at the back fo the engine (flywheel end) forward, always

btw, if you DID have a counter rotation engine, swapping the prop would not fix the issue - there is much more involved

Thank you for the input I thought I had a motor that spun the opposite wayand couldn't use the motor I bought
