Mercuiser, 3.0 rpm jump at full throttle

I Have a question on my 2003 Stingray 180 lx boat. The mercruiser 3.0 135 hp Sterndrive motor started jumping rpm at full throttle, RPMS will drop from 4700 to 4000, then be ok for another 500 feet then jump again, Speed of 39- 42 miles an hr. But when im traveling 25- 30 miles per hour its fine, Boat has 30 hours on it starts fine, runs fine, but again at 4500-4800 rpms we are havung a power drop for a second or two then boat continues, any help or suggestions willl be great!!

This might not be what you want to hear, but if the boat and engine is still under warantee then it would be better if you have the service department where you bought the boat look into this. If you tinkle around with the engine it might void the warantee.
