Hi,

I have a 1750 Bayliner with a Inboard 3L Mercuriser engine. The boat has been in storage for about 8 months. Prior to this it was serviced regular and winterized.

We checked all oil levels and re-filled the tank with petrol and replaced the battery, only to find that when we tried to start the engine it fired a couple of times but wouldnt start.

When a mechanic looked at it on the mariner he discovered water when he removed the spark plugs, one spark plug was slightly rusty but the other 3 where clean and the water was new.

There is no water in the crank case and the mecanic suspects it came through the exhaust or the engine manifold.

Has anybody had a similar problem or any ideas on what could be the problem??

Thanks

Chris
