heres a pic of a boat just like mine but mine has a 1992 mercury 100 on it. i took the boat out when i frist got it and the tach did not work.the boat would go 38-40mph. i had to replace the voltage regulator. that fixed the tach. i took the boat out again after fixing the tach and the boat would only go 30 and would not go past 4000rpms.it will rev to 5500 in neutral. on that trip out the switch box went bad. i replace it and now the motor starts right up idles good but when i go to take and give it w.o.t it sputter then takes off.but it still won't go past 4000rpms or 30mph. all of the runs where made with the same amout of gas and the same gear,and same crew. the picth on the prop is 13 1/4x17p where should i start to check things. also i pulled all the plug and the look good there all a light brown. thanks for any help josh
