the boat is 14 1/2" mercury 110 (9.8)thunderbolt,had it out last year once,reverce was a bit tough to click into,tryed it yesterday in the river,cant pull it,nuetal& forward o.k. but cant get it into reverse.found a loose rod were motor locks onto boat. could this have something to do with my problem? i dont know much about boat motors and safty shut off.
