My motor will crank with the choke pulled out, but when I push in the choke, it stalls. The bulb remains firm and I have replaced the diaphram and impellar.

I discovered a cracked hose which I assume is an oil/lubricant line. It runs from the bottom of where the carberator is to the pistons.

In the process of removing this hose, I broke the fitting the hose slides on to (on the piston side). This fitting (or *** as I call it) has a round, brass connector which appears to screw into the Block.

I need to know if the fitting is available and whether or not I will be able to screw it back into the block.

sure appreciate any help on this, greg

I'm not sure Greg, but it sounds like the broke fitting and hose might operate the fuel pump. Your friendly Merc dealer should have the fitting and if ya get a manual, it'll tell you what that hose does.

g'luck & c/6

Hooty

greg, sounds like the same hose I broke on my 9.8. dealer couldn't even go back that far though. I went to a place that custom makes hydrolic hoses and had one made less than $10. Be sure to take old one along
